What's the worst knock sensors you have seen?

funny you mention that I am in the middle of swapping from a gen III to a gen IV and right away noticed the new valley cover had not hole for them an haven had much luck on an answer do the gen IV not have then or are they located somewhere else?

I'm fairly certain the IV motors have the knock sensors mounted on the front and rear of the block.

The knock sensors on a GenIV are located on the SIDE of the engine block. There are extension harnesses available that plug from the OEM GenIII harness into the new side block location of the GenIV blocks.

You really only have to put a "wall" of RTV on the valley cover to divert water around the rear sensor, but that works too. I think you win the award for most corroded sensor I've seen...

Thanks for the info. There are alot of little changes that I didn't know about the closer i get to gettin the new setup all together.
