Yeah, in the 07's. I had a 07 4.8 crew cab rental while my F150(3v 5.4) was in the shop- now my truck stock has 300hp and 360tq, but the new 4.8 felt MUCH stronger on the top end than my 5.4. Part of it could be that the 4.8 revved to 6500rpm, while my 5.4 never sees 5000rpm.

the 4.8 revved to 6500rpm
Are you exaggerating a little bit?

Stock tune shifts at 5600 from 1-2 and 5200 from 2-3

They put high flow cats in the exhaust for 03-04. That was a 10HP gain.

hey,
I guess I was looking at a 2006 tune.
the 2007 is listed as 295 hp at EDIT:5600rpm.
so they must be shifting a bit higher.
But 6500 would really surprise me.

Now I need to find out. LOL

The NBS truck motors are still the same blocks right? I know there's the 6.2 out there, but haven't really been able to look into the 07 trucks yet. The 6.2 is just for the escalade this year right?

Say compare a 2000 w/5.3l vs a 2004 w/5.3l?
