Default whats this?

Is this an LQ4 or an LQ9?

What did the LQ9 come in, and the same question for the LQ4?

How, visually can you tell them apart?

What are the specs (differences) between the two motors?

that would be an LQ9 cant tell externally
beefier rods - different pistons
BTW you can get them alot cheaper than that from ebay and salvage yards!

also note if you get an 05-newer version the lq4 and lq9 get the same rods(LS2) and both get LS2 timing chain so basically the only difference then would be the lq9 would be a slightly higher compression engine

I would be putting it into an 02 5.3L engine bay, are there any special tricks. I wouldn't think so, just a good tune on the trucks factory computer and harness, right? All the sensors should be somewhat in the same spot, i think?

It seems like there should be more problems, but I can't think of any.

nope, just bolts in. All you need is a shortblock. The intake manifold and all acc. will swap over. All you will need is an updated tune.
