Default What is your effective gear ratio?

I hadn't really been thiking too much about it but my friend had me do the 75 mph in 3rd gear check. It looks like the H2 with stock wheels and tires is right at 3.00 effective gear ratio because of the 4.10's and tall tires. Sure would be nice if it was 3.50 or so! I'm pretty sure that the mileage would really suck with a set of 5.xx gears installed to get it, though!

What do you have in your combination?

Just go 75 mph in 3rd gear and see what your tach says. That is your effective gear ratio. mine said 3000 so it is 3.00 to 1.

Nope, they had a bit on effective gear ratio on that new 4x4 show, but I was ribbing him a bit if he did, but then, I did too

Oh...ok....I just thought you were breaking his stones. As in watching to much t.v. and coming up with weird **** ( effective gear ratio) to worry about.
