ok, the reasoning behind my posting of the shock delete was the fact i seen a car take off from a redlight and had massive weight transfer to the rear. we all know that to be bad shocks. (the car wasn't racing or anything, just taking off) i guess zero shocks aren't the answer but like 01thunder said, shocks that are worn out, will allow more weight transfer. so would that be beneficial enough to find a set of worn shocks for the track? they are easy to change and could potentially save some money for just a racing set up!

well, your post is what made me start thinking of a really worn set of shocks. if kenny has them, then i will at least give them a shot.

hey you never know, it might become the latest fad around here. worn out shocks for everyone. lol

This is kind of along the same lines of improving launch traction...Has anyone taken out their overload leaf springs to gain better off the line traction? I was thinking about doing this as my truck does not squat much at all on take off.
Any thoughts?

see that is the problem i have. my truck don't squat. at least to me it doesn't. i have only a 1 inch shackle on the rear. that is why i was wondering if a cheap way out would be the worn shocks. but your question could be another possible solution.
