What will it take to make 400ish or close to 400 to the rear wheels? N/A not nitrous our other forced induction. Sig shows what all I have already done.

well first off ditch the shorties and get some LT's, bigger cam, heads, LS6 intake, bigger TC, electric fans and get a real tune. should get you closer to 400 maybe
just my two cents...

They dont make long tube headers for a V8 S10 swap. So the shorties will have to do for now. I figured a a bigger cam and heads.... Which set heads are good that will run with the truck intake? I plane on getting a stall 3500 stall for the 4l80e to help with the sluggish take offs. Any other opinions?

in order to hit 400rwhp, you will need full boltons(search for a sticky by me on the subject) LS6 or FAST intake, preferably FAST. a bigger cam, something in the high 220s to low 230s duration and 580s-590s lift. an awesome set of heads, either AFR205s or some stage3 243s or maybe some WCCH cnc-ported 5.3Ls. definetely will need a good dyno tune.
if you were willing to go to a 6.0L it would make your goal soooo much easier.

I've heard that the 5.3L intake is nearly identical to the LS6 in flow numbers, so I wouldn't waste the money there and I'd just get the heads ported/polished to a stage 2.5. Not sure what else you'd need to achieve your goal, but I'm just saying to work with what you have at your disposal. Give my friends here in Lubbock at Texas Speed & Performance a call (806-866-0734) sometime and they can help you out plenty. They specialize in the LSx engines.
