That i'm not sure of. I don't have Ls1edit but I know my shift points are set at 6180,6350 with the limiter at 6600 and mine works just fine. What are your shift points and rev limiter set at?

Either 6500/6700 or 6600/6800. Don't remember, but I know there is some headroom in there.

Good lord, If you shift 1-2 @ 6500, 2-3 @ 6700, your rev limiter should be around 6900-6950.

Sorry...I meant, I shift at either 6500 or 6600 and the rev limiter is 2-300rpms higher. That wasn't 1/2 2/3 shift points.

Ohh. I would think that's the problem then. Maybe try moving the rev limiter a little higher or moving just the 1-2 shift down a bit and make a couple of test runs. I'm sure it will work. There's too many other's that do it. A buddy of mine has like 31" toyo's on stock rims and 26" et street radials for the track and shifts around 7200.

not to steal your thread but what size DR or et street would you recommend for a truck with 4.10 gears? i have been running my street tire at the track and they are 31" tall. i shift into third but i don't know where in the rpm range when i cross the traps

I would think you could still cross the line in 3rd with 26" tires but not sure. Depends on your shift points. I have a 3.90 set up with 26" et streets and cross ~5400-5500. not exactly sure.

I'm shifting 6000-6100 on both the 1-2 and 2-3 and have the rev limiter set at 6400. I'm really interested in the 28" radials on the link that Scream posted. Few quick questions about those particular radials:

-Will they fit o.k. on a 16x8 rim? I see that they refer to a 9" wide rim, would this make any difference in height?

-Has anybody run these? If so, how long do they last and how do they hook?

-Do you have to run a tube with them?

-How much are they?

Thanks!

I just called M&H and those tires STILL aren't available. They're now saying they should be available in January.

You'd be defeating the purpose of putting 3.90 gears by running bigger tires than you need to. You want to arrange your gearing so that you cross the finish line making close to peak power. (High rpm's) This calls for another thread.
