Custom CAI, mail order tune(Wait4Me = Great price), exhaust, TB Bypass. That is probably the best bang for you buck parts right there. Does the truck have a 5.3 or 4.8, posi-trac or peg-leg? A 5.3 thats posi-trac and those mods which are around $250 to $300 total should run mid to high 14's. You can't ask for a better deal IMO..

I spent $1600 on my extended cab and it went 14.57 with those mods only. I went with a AEM cold air intake, Magnaflow Cat-back, Hypertech HPPIII (save the bashing...it worked), and a Yank TT3000 converter. Those mods in a reg. cab should be about 3 tenths faster...or 14.2x's or so. I'm also at 85k on my stock trans. If you get a custom tune, I wouldn't take out too much TM, as I'm a firm believer in that's what's responsible for a TON of 4L60e deaths. Welcome.

Oh, I got a Crane Powermax tuner for sale if you're interested...pm me.

well, my brother has a brand new sts gt67 kit that he will sell you. That should take your friend down. He has 42lb injectors too, all you would need is a tune and maybe a fuel pump depending how much boost you would want! That might be more than you are wanting to go in right now though. Have fun modding!

I would say get a cai, stall, headers, make shift exhaust and a tune. For a light combo like this a mail order tune will work.
