I am running around 6 to 8 psi boost on an STS system. I tow a very big trailer on occasion. When I do tow I lower the boost to 3 psi to keep the EGT's down. here are my questions

1. What is a good SAFE AFR to run?

2. Once the AFR is set at 8 psi will it be richer at 3 psi?

 

man..we just did mine last friday and i cant remember but i think it was 11.7-11.5/1...something like that.not for sure tho..i'll try to get ahold of allen ...

 

Thats what I thought. I just did mine today and it was 9.5:1... Thats got to be real rich. It dosn't smoke or smell gassy but it is a little sluggish. I just sent Allen an e-mail Im sure he'll fix it for me.

 

i was telling him mine was real sluggish and when i got up there it was running real rich after the walbro pump install and fmic...we added some timing and leaned it out some ..now it runs damn good...

 

11.5 is considered safe.
