I use the cheapest **** I can find for a filter other than Fram. Usually it's a walmart $1.99 filter. I change oil every 2K miles so it never gets a chance to get dirty. I'll take a high flow filter over one that catches every miniscule particle since I change oil so often. Hell, most people could probably reuse my oil in their car when I'm done with it

The Walmart filters are made by Champion Labratories, E-Core design. Really good filter for the price. I think Champion makes most of the Delco filters now, IIRC. I usually use Wix, Purolator Pure-1's, or the new Bosch's (re-baged Pure-1, Bosch owns Purolator now).

you need to get the 51522 filter . . . it's the longer style.

Use A/C Delco, WIX, or Mobile 1

Fram is a big no-no. I've taken appart several motors and I've found filter media in the oil pan before.

I use fram on both the s10 and the silverado..

s10 has 245k miles on the origional motor (4.3), every oil change is castrol and a fram, 3k miles

same with the silverado
