Default what to look for in a 6.0

ok i want to get a 6.0 to swap in my truck and i would like to know what to look for. i know there are the LQ4 and LQ9 but that is all i know. i think that i also read that the 05 and up have LS2 internals. (thats just what i read) so what do i need to look for? more than likely i will go through the engine before i swap.

The 8th character of the VIN is the engine code.
N = LQ9
U = LQ4
