I was looking at AFR's, but it is about a 2-3 month wait to get them at a decent price. Probably overkill for what I am looking to do anyway.

Well, I called them and they said that you wouldn't see any benefit from them unless you spin your motor between 6500-7800rpm's. Well, I'm not going to do spin it that high!! They also said that I would probably loose or not see much low end tq. I don't know if any of this is true but........ However, I am going to install cam, lifters, push rods, springs, titanium retainers, 1.85 rockers and some heads. I hope that I didn't forget anything!!

I am FI, so I would probably see a pretty big gain from them. Also, that RPM they are saying for gain seems really high. AFR's have really god mid lift numbers, so I am kind of suprised they said it would be that much RPM. I would think anything past the mid range would see a good gain over stock truck heads. LS6 heads flow real well though, so they are hard to beat for the money. As for the rest of your components, you can buy a kit from Comp with the retainers, springs, etc, so check that out.

Does your truck still have the stockers on??(heads). Yaaah, I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to buy all of these parts.(i.e.kit or separate) Well the tech said that I would see about 30-50hp over stock, but I told him what I was going to install(stuff in prev. post) and thats when he said that I would have to spin it that high to see any good hp gains. I said explain good hp gains. He then said 60-80hp.....so I don't know what to think. I do know that if you call back and talk to someone different, the info will (hp) change. I hope I'm making some sort fo sense!!! I'm somewhat !!!!
