Default What headers? Long tubes?

What headers should I put on my truck? I have an 03 with a 6.0l and am looking for the most in power. I live in Cali and will have to smog it in a couple of years. Do you cali guys thing the long tubes would make the visual inspection? I guess it's a crap shoot? Any help would be appreciated. Also it looks like my factory exhaust has maybe (2) converts per pipe?

Any mid/long tube headers will do. Stay away from shorty headers.

They are definitely that! Unfortunately, they don't have the CARB # that he'd need.

I would also definitely have to say stay away from shorties. I put them on my truck and they didn't do jack **** for me. Getting Dynatech setup soon!

I just purchased the shorties. Hopefully It will allow the engine to run cooler for my SuperCharger. That's the only reason I purchased them. For N/A flow I agree; jack ****!

The Other Guys (TOG) headers have a CARB exemption # and are considered to be mid length headers and produce good gains. I don't know for sure but guess these headers should get you through your inspection. I think that they are the only mid-long tube headers with an exemption # if that is a primary consideration for you. They go for around $750 before coating $150. Some cutting and welding of the stock exhaust is required.

TOG's are the way to go if you are concerned about smog. I have them on my truck, a bit of a pain in the *** to install because they the cats are so close to the header flanges. I have a CARB number and will find out next year if I get hassled with smog.
