So if I go to the junkyard do i just pull the fans off the radiator and unplug a plug or do I have to cut some wires and make my own harness(Ill probably get one from nelson) or what?

There are 2 plugs that you unplug and then just remove the fans. Get the harness fron Nelson, it's easy to install. You will need to get the pcm programmed for the fans.

My pcm is already turned on for the fans. So the nelson harness will just plug into the ls1 harness?

yes...if you tell Allen you re using ls1 fans he will make sure that his harness has the correct ends to plug into the fans.

I got my efans from ebay for 88 shipped last week. Bryan Herter DOES have the same harness Nelson has for a bit cheaper price...fyi.

Thanks for the info Im going junkyard hunting next week. Does it matter whether you get them from a v6 or v8. What about corvettes or the crown vics as fogle mentioned.

do 05 truck fans bolt right up also? dont you have to get a bigger radiator?

"We do not suggest this for a full-size truck application : Mechanical fans almost always extract more CFM of air than any electrical motor. Since a truck is typically twice the weight of a car and sometimes towing or hauling, they generate twice as much heat through the radiator, and the electric motors cannot produce sufficient CFM. Also, the dimensions of these fans don't cover sufficient area on a full-size truck radiator since a truck's radiator is normally 25% larger than a high-performance car. "

thats what ls1 fans on ebay say...is it true? anyone have problems with this?

do ls1 fans just bolt right up? or do you have to make a custom bracket?

thanks
