Hum... NC is 87 89 and 93 everywhere but we have alot of 110 around here too but thats prolly because im near rockingham. I have a tuned ecu and I have tried 87/93 and 110 and I cant tell a diff in any of it but just the sweet smell of 110!

i know when i first filled my truck i used 87 and it had a small knock. i took it back to the dealer and they said use higher octane in it. i tried 89 and the knock went away. on the next tank i used 91 which is the highest i can get other than race fuel around my house and it got alot better gas milage but i didnt notice any performance gains.

Like Trever said. If your stock just go with regular. But if you want to mod it later then start running 91 with a tune.
Outside of that your just throwing your money away.

Or you could just run the middle man. Super is only 10 cents more than Regular around here.

When my truck was stock I used to get 280 miles from a tank of 89 octane. Then I tried a tank 93 and got 320 miles. If you figure it out in "pennies per mile" running premium is a better deal. it cost more, but you'll go farther.

i run premium because the engine runs cleaner and seems to help gas mile and performance and its like 3 dollars more on a full tank so its really not a waste.
u can save that 3 dollars buy a coke or something.

also on low grade i got like 320 - 330 miles on a tank now i get average 370 so
