The ones that I've heard of are the EGR mod, where you remove the EGR fitting that goes into the intake and cut it flush so it doesn't affect airflow, and the throttle body bypass where you remove the coolant hoses that go to the bottom of the throttle body and either tie them together with a brass fitting or just take the hose off the radiator and stretch it to the fitting on the head...the idea is to keep the throttle body cooler by not allowing hot coolant to flow through it. FWIW, I have done neither of these mods myself, as I don't see them as being worth it, especially since I live in a cold climate in winter. Although, I have deleted my EGR completely, since I upgraded to an 02 PCM which doesn't have EGR.

IMO, gains on these mods are minimal, and depending where you live, may have negative effects (TB bypass to be exact, in the winter)

There are also modifications you can make to the air intake box to make a homemade CAI, that I'm sure others who have done so can chime in about.

I'm sure there's a few others that I can't think of right now...had a few watchin the Daytona 500.

don't forget spring clamps, spring clamps are supposed to help on traction and wheel hop. 10 bucks on the floor at autozone, clamp the front of your spring down as tight as it'll go. My truck wheel hopped really bad after it was lowered, put these on there, and it's all good.

It worked for me I had heard that they stopped using EGR in 02, so after I swapped in my 02 PCM (along with the larger 24lb 02 injectors, fixed the flashing battery light, etc...if you do a search on 99-02 PCM swap you'll find a ton of info on what I'm talking about)...anyway, I unplugged my EGR and drove around to see if I'd get an ses light, and low and behold I didn't. So I just went to dealer and bought the block off that goes into the intake where the egr would be (think it was like 14 bucks?), and got a block off for the header and viola'...EGR be gone!
