What does everyone think the 4.8 can really produce????

Thanks, I just shouldn't have been running around everyday with the timing that high. I didn't have HPT yet so I didn't want to be down on power in case I needed it. On the dyno 1 degree of timing was neting 7-15 hp. Less of course the closer we got to 30*. The amount of meth I was putting in it was the only reason it made it past 25*.

I would think at least 600rwhp. It has never made sense to me why the 5.3 respond so much better to mods, is it really the extra cubes. Also even thoug jap motors are different they have some pretty healthy 6 bangers weather or not it is inline or the v. And look at what the GN's are putting down. I will keep the faith in the 4.8 eventhough I will switch up to the 6.0 down the road. Good luck

I think its funny that people think that I am only going to make 20 more rwhp with the carb intake, a fuel system that will keep up with the set up, 3 more lbs of boost and a stronger tune
Oh well. thats why I set this poll up, to see who thinks I caint do it and then prove them wrong

Also, thanks too everyone that has posted and/or voted. Keep the comming

with 60 lbs injectors, a mega squirt system, get rid of the maf, use a set of 5.3 pistons to lower compression a little, a good cam to trap more of the boost pressure in, arp head bolts,
unknown how much the stock crank can take, e fans, smaller crank pulley kit,
I would have to say some where around 550 to 600 but at that power range on this small of a motor I don't think it will last long.

i have a question... why wouldnt it last... arent there plenty of inline 4 and v6 applications that are making that much power or more that last season after season? or am i talking about professionally built motors way beyond what hes planning on doing?

Ya but as I said in a prior post "this is not a inline motor" and I did not spend 10's of thousands of dollars on my engine itself like those "ricer" do. But thanks for the imput and keep them comin
