The bullet I have has the raised cheese gratter looking things inside. I have a picture I can post when I get home. I would have to say it made little to no difference in sound placed in front of my magnaflow.

IMO, i wouldn't go with the glasspacks. I've never been satisfied with them and up top they sound like crap. If you want something that has a good tone for the street that keeps quiet the super 40 series sounds pretty good. I don't get any drone with it and it's got a nice top end sound. I can hear more engine noise than muffler. I usually end up taking off the muffler for the track since it sounds a LOT more aggressive w/out it. After inspection I'll be doing cutouts like what you're doing.

Oh, well i guess I was wrong then, all the magnaflow (rounds, Ovals, etc) were all smooth with perforation, no scoops.... Apparently I don't know anything..

Lol, it is not the size of your Bumpstick that matters, it is how you tune it....

no your not stupid... Some are made that way too. The resonators that came with my headers are that way. Glass packs have glass packing in them resonators don't. Here is the pic I promised...

Interesting!! Supposedly those little scoops help get rid of rasp, since it disrupts the airflow of the exhaust....

Maybe I don't really know, darn thing didn't do squat for me, but I don't have any problems with rasp I was just hoping it would help with the drone at ~1800 rpm and it did nothing for that. Drone doesn't really bother me anymore though, don't know if it mellowed out on it's own or I just got used to it... I guess you can install those in either direction also for some sort of different effect. The were the only ones I could find that where all stainless steel. I didn't want to add something that was aluminized to my exhaust when the rest of it is all stainless.
