is it better to buy or tu build a 3" y pipe...just wandering...156 is a lil steep for me right now...if any one even has a set laying around that aint hacked all too crap let me know

 

Depends on how good you are with a welder and sawzall/chop saw.

I made my own y-pipe for my truck because it was cheaper and I was able to make it the way I wanted it.

 

do you have any pics of it...did you just buy some bends and st8s are did you have them bent

 

Bought some mandrels bends off ebay. Actually, all you really need is one U-bend so you can cut it in half to make two 90's.

For the y-pipe I used a Flowmaster Scavenger Y, but you can go for the cheaper Magnaflow, or if you have enough patience make your own.

 

I have the parts to build my own and went to a muffler shop had them make the 3'' bends and bought the rest of the 3'' stick of pipe cost me about 90 bucks and bought a 3'' tailpipe expander a harbor frieght for 10 bucks so hundred dollar bill, still is eaiser to just buy the right part then build your own sometimes, up to you.
