Default What to do?

OK, I want some performance mods for my truck. So far I have an AIRRAID intake and Corsa exhaust. What should I do next? I am thinking a Nelson Dyno Tune, heads and cam, or save up a little for a supercharger? What do you think?

nelson tune would be a nice inexpensive mod. Then get a cam and a supercharger. Heads are not bad stock, so make those your last mods. You will of course need to also upgrade your tranny and add a stall.

A Nelson tune and a cam will soak up the $1000, then you have to get it installed, unless you know how.

Dyno tune=$500

I can install myself. What specs should I look for in a cam?

get the thunder racing 220 with the 112 lobe separtation, it's like 360 or so. you'l l also need valve springs and retainers, and get pushrods while you're in there. z06 oil pump isn' a bad idea either. Also, with any real noticable cam, a stall converter is recommended, so add another 500 to your build. Honestly, i don't know if you can afford to do the cam right, with your budget, unless you come across some killer used deals. buy headers and a custom tune for now, nelson tunes are updatable so you'll never lose this way. There was a set of thorley tri y's in the classified section, good deal at like i thnk 350 or so. try those with a custom tune, and you'll be on your way. Plus, a cam really shows it's potential with headers. So while a cam is the guts of the buildup, you need all the other factors for it to really shine. Buy the boltons first. even the stock engine, reacts well to a stall.

SIDE NOTE: Where are you getting that killer deal on a cam? I'm seeing prices of 350 to 425, then add springs and rockers and I'm looking at $1300 total.
