what are the diffs between 97 4l60e and '00

Default what are the diffs between 97 4l60e and '00

my brother just blew his tranny in his 97 and i was wondering if a newer model tranny would fit just the same as they will have lower mileage on them. if there are differences what are they. any help is greatly appreciated

They are physically different. The bell housing is different all together. THe case is all one piece on the older ones, on the new ones it unbolts. There are some differences internal as well. The valve body has some pretty distinct differences as well.
