Default What is code P0315.....?

Not sure what this code means
P0315 Crankshaft Position (CKP) System Variation Not Learned. I tried removing it with autotap and it will not remove the code. Any ideas?

Here is a good site for defining codes

did you just install the tune or another pcm. if so you will need to do a relearn procedure for it.

Not a passkey problem, its a Crankshaft Position (CKP) System Variation Not Learned. Just dont know how to correct it. unless this procdure corrects this too?

EDIT: Nelson pcm has been installed for just about 2 months, and now im getting this code.

EFIlive has a crankshaft position relearn program, you basicly clear all engine codes and follow the instructions on the screen. That takes care of the problem.Or you can go to someone with a Tech tool to do the samething.

Would the dealership have to do this? What other shops would have this tech tool? I got the 0315 code after picking my truck up from the tranny shop....

Most likely the dealership will have to do this with their TECH II.
