I would say between 340-350 fwhp. Depends on the tune from Wester's....you get the 87, 89, or 93 Hot tune?

260 to the wheels. I had full bolt ons, and lt headers instead of the shorties tht you have, with a better tune than you and, a cam and I was making a bit over 320rwhp.

So when GM states that the 2005 5.3L HO is 310 hp stock they are talking at the Fly Wheel? Jeez!
The tune is a 89/91 Hot tune on California gas!
Wish i coulda got long headers! not quite legal here....

I would think i am making better than 300 at the rear wheels, at least gained back what the drive line took?
Anything else that i can do to squeek a few more hp without FI?
Any transmission mods recommended?
Thx!

i disagree, i doubt you're over 300 rwhp with a mail order tune. mine is road and dyno tuned and i made 288 with underdrive pulleys, true duals with straight through mufflers, etc...etc...etc....

Trust me you arent putting out 300rwhp. The cam and the tune for it made a HUGE difference. If you are putting out 300rwhp you should be in teh low 14s. I ran 15.1 with a 3000 stall tune exhaust , nelson STREET tune, and a K&N panel filter. Thats at sea level at HRP which is suppose to be one of the best tracks in the contry as far as ET is concerned. Put a cam in it, shift kit(transgo hd-2) corvette servo, TOG headers(they are mid length I know you paid alot for the jbas but oyu gained maybe 9 rwhp from tehm) put a cutout on it, and a 3000 stall all those will drop alot of et and also make the truck feel alot stronger.

I hear ya!
Thanks for the responses. It certainly is a lot faster/stronger pulling than stock by my SOTP meter.
Guess i'll have to get to Sacremento and try the 1/4.
