Default GM L9 6.2 motor 45,000 miles on it

Gm is is telling me the knock noise??? is caused from the build up of carbon on the pistons and should go away after 90 seconds mine last like 5 min and then again after start up again is this normal on a motor that only has 45,000 miles on it with only premium fuel and all required scheduled maintenance

Default Carbon

sounds funky to me, get hold of a bore
camera, Harbor Fright. pull the plugs and
look down in the bore at the piston top.
GM top engine cleaner is good stuff.
I have 47K + on my 6.2, quiet as a mouse.
