Default What cam

Ive decided i need a little more power. I dont want to spend major$$$ on heads and i want something that will run well with the magna. after that, its going to the dyno for some tuning. What cam fits in the 5.3L??????

any ls1 cam, i'm thinking of going with a 224/221 .050 .558/.558 111 LSA cam...that's as far as i figure i can go without computer work. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

HIHO..... i think you might have to have some tuning with that kind of duration. that is what the guy at street chips in tulsa told me anyway. that is a healthy cam

with that cam it should run good, but idle quality should drop just a little bit...nothing major though.

Wouldn't something with a split duration do better with the supercharger?

im pretty unfamiliar with the inside of the 5.3. what else can i replace to pick up more power along with the cam? What about valve springs from the vette? Any suggestions.

If you go with a cam with over .500 lift, you are going to have to change the valve springs. The stock springs will not handle that much lift.

that ls1 cam is not a good choice for a truck no low end torque
