I made plates for mine and had him remove it. Don't know if it helps anything, but the sucker is off there anyway. Tell him about the 160 stat you have as well. Are you going to buy a harness from him to run the fans?

i will see what he has to say about the EGR.

yup im buying the harness for them. the only thing i dont like about it is it only runs the one fan for the engine. i want it to run both. mine are only 2 12in fans and i just doesnt seem like it is going to cool it good enough if i was in stop and go traffic. i wonder if i could just link the two fans together so they both run.

just keep in mind that the egr valve closes at WOT and is only used during partial throttle. EGR also cools combustion temps which reduces nox. Removing the egr you won't gain an performance at WOT but you will notice more power at partial throttle positions

It must be a different harness than the Lt1 fans. Mine both come on when the temps get to the designated temp, but if the motor's cool and I cut on the ac, one fan will run until it warms up.

I think it was implied, but not sure...

Bump HO timing tables up. (Tedious, lots of trail and error stuff). Changes in lower RPM stuff give you better gas mileage. I'm running around 4* more at cruise, and upwards of 10* more at WOT.

Then...

Neuter KR. Don't let it attack as hard, and let it recover quicker. (down with the attack rate, up with the recover)

Set your fuel trims from like, 0 to -4. Don't let them go positive. I still use the IFR table.

Set your PE mode to come on sooner. turn off the delay, and set enrichment rate to 1.0. Watch your 02' at WOT - they should ideally be above 980 N/A 980-990 is reasonable. Mine are 890-900. Set the throttle position vs rpm to come on at a lower throttle position in the higher RPM's. This helps you run more timing up top. (Stock, I could have been out of PE, but still pulling moderately hard at 4500rpm + at an A:F of 14.7 - it was ding-dong-city above 26* of timing)
