What about this cam?
What is everyone's opinion on this cam in an ext. cab 99 silverado 5.3?
206/214 500/500 at .050" 113lsa
I've been told I wouldn't have to reprogram the computer and it would give me about 30 hp. Should I do it?

Give it try. Don't expect 30 rwhp though. I would think more like 20 would be satisfactory. You may get 30, but don't be disapointed if you don't. That's a pretty mild cam. You should not need tuning thoough.

If that's the Crane Cams one, that's the one I'm looking at also. I think it would be near perfect for the 5.3. But I figured more like 15hp on the top and I'd lose just a little below 2000. But hey I'd take 20-30hp anyday. If you go with it let me know how it works out.
