Default Went to the track last night (Long)

Well, i couldnt get back to you last night cause i was to drunk, but I must say i ran pretty well after removing the swaybar and some other stuff. We got 6 runs last night. I taught my girlfriend to race last night. She did pretty well she ran the last 3 runs she was consistant for the first time. her R/t stayed close to 1 second and her 60's were 2.1,.4,.7 She ran 15s the whole time, but that was great for a chick that was never at the track. as for me, i did well too. I ran the stock wheels(rear@15psi) Pulled out a ton more ****(amps, speakers console tv...) the first run was the best rt was crap@.727.....60;1.922 1/8 9.046@81.03 1/4 13.882 @ 101.8. The othe 2 were 14.0 @98 and 14.2@95. My biggest problem is traction. I cant hook @ all they just spin and spin. The g/f is buying me slicks for my B-day(Monday) so i think itll help alot. The other problem that i have, which the S/C guys will all agree on is Heat. Its robbing me of power. I ran my best tim in the spring when the air temp was in the low 40's, and that was with the stcok trans/T converter. Since i went to a hight stall, i cant seem to get off the line, Now i have to really walk it out, and it still spinns. Which slicks should i get???

Most guys run ET Streets and had good luck with them, that is what I plan on getting as well. As far as heat goes with the SC, you can try some water injection. Many people run it with Whipples and are able to run 9lbs of boost without detonation. I also noticed you are trying to setup a intercooler, water injection might be a better solution, for cost and trouble.

Make a post over here, http://www.pacific-audio.com/perform...iscussion.html
There seems to be a lot of people running water injection and I am sure they could give you some better advice.

Good times even though you had some traction problems.

for me ET streets helped .68 tenths. all you do is floor it out of the hole.

I just gotta say, if you got a girlfriend that will buy you a set of slicks for your birthday, you're a lucky man... Have yourself a happy birthday!
