Default Well the famous #7 went bye bye

Getting ready to pull the 5.3 out we decided to do a compression check. All cylinders made 120 and #7 could only get up to 80-85. When I get the motor out I'll break it down and see what exactly happened. 6.0 is on the way.

POOF!!
Sorry to hear about your loss.
How aggressive was your tune? Any details or signs on what led to its demise??

Should run even better with the 6.0. Are you shooting for 11's?

that sucks. mine went also. im going to say you cracked the piston. thats what i did. my motor was really dowm on power and it getting tons of blow by. it was so bad it was pushing my dipstick out of the tube. and smoke was coming out of the valve covers and really bad out of the exhaust when i got on it. i now have a new motor and everything is well.

Hate to say it but I knew the day you posted blowby and smoke that #7 and turbo that was your problem.Stock intake is not very good for turbos and # 7 piston.Get a new intake setup for next turbo motor. Good luck on the next setup.
