Default Weird Idle surge

Sup guys/gals..my friend has a 01 Tahoe and when the truck comes to a stop and is idling, the truck starts surging and acting like its going to die. My first thought was tps but I thought I'd post on here and get some ideas from people who actually own these vehicles. Thanks for any input!

It could be a vacuum leak but, I believe it's the IAC(Idle Air Control) valve. They get carboned-up/sticky and let too much air in at idle rpms. I d/k about your specific one but all EFI vehicles have them and your problem is common. Usually, you can just remove it and soak /flush it with a solvent and it will be OK. If cleaning it doesn't help or last, replace it.
