Weather (temperature) really affecting gas mileage??

Hey, all... I have noticed that in colder weather, my truck loses 1-1.5 mpg with no real change in driving habits... I understand how this is possible (the colder air is denser, and so more fuel needs to be added to maintain the proper fuel/air ratio), just wondering if it's something that ya'll see as well.
FWIW, my truck is stock. Not stock with a wink, not stock except for _______, STOCK stock... down to the paper air filter and the factory exhaust.
I typically see 15.1-15.6 in mixed city/highway driving when it is cold out, and 16.3-16.7 when it is warm (same kind of driving).
