Default Water methanol injection

I see ppl state different things so I just want to make sure I'm correct or wrong, I installed a water methanol kit and to me it looks like the commanded AFR is fighting it, when tuning for it you need to first know your true afr ( mine is at 11.93 WOT) then you can adjust your total AFR with the water methanol, so in order to do that I have to log MAF while spraying W/M in order to get your desired commanded AFR correct??

Meth is a fuel source that the ECM isn't aware of. Since there's no way to properly integrate it with a stock controller, you're going to have to fudge some things to get to your target AFR with meth spraying. There's no optimal way to go about it...dealers choice.

I was always told to not tune for meth. Tune your vehicle without spraying then let it rip

Terravast4, that's my issue is you can't a solid answer, I tried the 250cc,500cc and 1000cc and noticed nothing just seemed like my afr was fighting to balance out, I added 3 degrees of timing up top with the 250cc and seen no changes I even took out up to 3% fuel to try and get my afr back closer to 11.93 and noticed nothing and with all that my logged TQ numbers were lower

What i did years ago was to tune the engine on just gasoline. Then just turn the methanol on. Mine was setup to start spraying 10% with a 15gph nozzle at 6psi. And max out at 18-20psi.
I added some timing with it but never adjusted the fueling in the tune. IM not sure this is the correct way but i had buddys with WM fail and pop the engine since they were relying on the Methanol for fueling.
only reason i did mine like this was to keep IATs reasonable and i was towing all the time with it so i didnt want to rely on it for fueling.
I put over 300,000 miles on it like that and when i pulled the heads off to fix a failed lifter the intake runners, chambers, and pistons looked almost new but with a blue tint.
I eventually tried 2 15gph nozzles and saw nothing different except my W/M usage doubled.
I also used my IAT table and IAT vs RPM to adjust the timing so in the summer it wouldnt add the timing till it saw a lower IAT.
Only time i would rely on it would be with a Holley ECU or something that was constantly correcting fueling in boost.

RdF1, I really got it for the summer to lower my IAT's witch im.seeing no differents in I contacted AEM and he explained why, where I sensor is its not going to pick up the temp drop but clearly it's working cause I am going rich, it's not something I plan on running all the time but see it an opportunity to run my smaller pully since I haven't done my fuel system yet I'm only at 5 to 6 psi on boost, so I start spraying at 1 psi and full at 5 psi, I'd just like to be able to have the option if someone wants to run me I can just throw the smaller pully on turn the meth on and give my heavy *** truck a chance but makes no sense to do it if it's making it rich and im losing power, I know the risk and I just want to get what I can put of it ether way I'm blowing the engine at some point lol

Are you sure you are losing power because it is rich, what are your IAT’s?

Terravast4, well going by how it pulls without the meth vs with the meth it dont feel like it's pulling as hard, and going by my logged TQ they are lower when spraying the meth and my IAT's tend to stay from 110 to 118, doing 5 pulls pretty close together they didn't get past 118

Maybe 1 psi is too early. Maybe 3-6 psi. I’m at 13-14 psi and start spraying at 5 psi
