Default Wanting to get rid of cat-back duals

I'm looking to get rid of the cat-back dual setup I have with the Magnaflow that's on the truck.

I'm thinking about going with a Corsa or another Magnaflow single in-singe out.

Right now, it's a single in then dual 2-1/2" out the back.

I don't want to dump it under the cab or before the axle.

My thought is this:

Run the stock Y-pipe to the new muffler then run a single 3" pipe out the back and dump it at an angle (similar to stock) with a single 4" slant cut tip or rolled tip.

Does that sound like a decent plan?

I think it should look good you could also angle it down right in front of the number to where you would just barely see it
