The only reason I took the first one off was because I thought it was the cause of my MPG taking a dump. Well, my MPG sucked all winter, don't know if we get Winter gas in California or it was just because of the cooler air. The Magnaflow I took off was a good muffler but it seemed to be getting louder, especially under load. I've been doing a lot of driving with my son's ball team to tournaments and on the freeway it's been getting to me, the drone I mean. I put the same Quiet-Flow back on, #22719. It's a single 3" in and dual 2.25" out muffler. It's much quieter during normal around town driving and is DEAD quiet on the freewy, just the ticket for me. The truck seems to have better low end with it and the trans doesn't hunt or down shift now on small up hill grades where it use to before. Now it just chugs up them in OD instead of down shifting into 3rd. I may have lost some top end power above 4K or 5K but that's OK, it drives better around town now. I'm not above 4K-5K rpm's that much any way except when I feel like romping on it or at the track. I can't test it out either doing my normal 0-60 runs, the county just tar and graveled all the roads in my area. I can't use the same stretch of road I mormally do for at least another month, they won't be back to seal the roads by then, so it wouldn't be a good compaison on another stretch of road. Over all I'm happy, the Magnaflow was louder than I like when I put it on but it was bearable, but it got louder and the drone got worse. Now with the Quiet-Flow back on, I'm happy again.
