Default walboro 225 lph inline fuel pump

I purchased a inline fuel pump. Do I have to remove the old in tank pump or will the new pump be able to pull the 225 lph of fuel through the old set up.
I asked the seller and they said that the new pump will pull through the old one. I just wanted re-confirmation. Now that i'm thinking about it more logically, how can the new pump pull more than the
stocker can pull?
