You should be fine....everyone I heard of has liked their tunes from him. Stud girdles ain't necessary for a 5k engine...if you were spinning 7k, I would say they would be worth it.

ok thanks thats what i wanted to know. what about the length of my pushrods? i dont know what the factory length is and i dont know where to lookon the internet. i dont have the engine yet so i cant measure the ones of of there.

Factory pushrods from GM for a 96-99 Vortec 5.7L should be fine and they are the correct length for a 64cc chamber head. I think its like 7.122" I believe.

I think something like a 212/218 would be great for torque. I have a 218/224 and it pulls hard all the way to 5800rpm. I had a 206/212 before I put in this cam and wish I had more power. But with this cam I wish I had a higher stall torque converter because the stock stall is just a tad too small. I bet a 2600 would suffice nicely if you want a smaller stall.
