Default Vigilante Or Yank???

I need some input on torque converters. I "think" the one I'm after is the Yank
TT3000 but I have heard alot of good things about the Vigilante converters as
well. Let me know what you guys are running and what kind of luck you have had with yours. What kind of drop in ET are you guys getting from your converters?? Thanks in advance.

I have had experiences with both and like both. The Yank seems more streetable and tighter than the Vig. The Vig is the exact opposite. It feels very loose and a little louder on the street. The Vig seems like it leaves harder at the track. Hope this helps.

i have a yank3000. it has dropped my ET's .2-.3

just to let you know, the runs i made before the yank were done in the winter and the runs i did after the yank were in the summer. so those #'s might be even better.

before yank ~ 15.6
after yank ~ 15.4

it should improve your ET's at most .5 sec

overall, i like it. different at 1st, and took some getting use to. but now i don't even notice it until i step on the gas. make sure you have posi, or you will spinning one wheel all day long. i have towed alot with it too. no problem there

I think you would be happy going with the Yank. We have had very good feed back on them from our customers and I have been satisfied with the Yank in my Tahoe. Hope this helps.

You could always get a multi clutch Vig converter with a higher STR and it'd act like a larger diameter converter but have the smaller diameter for efficiency...

When I had the Yank Truck Thruster 3000 in my Tahoe, it dropped my ET from 16.10 to 15.50 with no other changes. That's 6 solid tenths. With my latest mods, I should be in the 14.60s by now.
