Post VHO MPG Update!

I just wanted to let you guys in on my MPG since my Nelson tune, Volant w/ ram air, and turning over 4,500 mi.
I'm now getting 17-19.5 mpg in city & 20-22 mpg on highway (65mph).
These numbers are from driving it very mild and never dropping the pedal past half-way Believe me it sucks, but my miliage is unbelievable.
Is this good. Any comparable VHO's or SS trucks getting these MPG numbers?

Jim

Those number are great. I get 12.5 city and around 14 on the highway in my SSS. I was getting over 16 when I had a volant in there but it was the old version so I sold it and am now waitin to buy an outlaw. I cant get past 15mpg's now no matter how I drive and i'm bone stock besides the fram air hog filter which I think sux. Soone to come tho is a intake, exhaust and PCM4Less tune

What rear gear do you have in the VHO?

I haven't reset my computer in about 3 months and it is on 16.9 average mpg. It was at 16.7 a couple of tanks ago. This tank is averaging 18.1 mpg, so I may be getting a little less than you, but I can't complain! There are good gains to be made if we can keep our foot out of it.

Like nativetexan said, "3.73 rear gear."
I really can't believe it myself. Thought maybe the electronic read-out (avg. mpg), but my fuel gauge and odo says it's accurate.
I'll try to post my total miles I recieve on this tank of fuel with the amount of gallons used and what is has remaining.
Maybe I fueled up with some kind of special Shell fuel that managed to get mixed up with a regular batch.
