I just got a pair of Doug's headers from truckperformance.com. Not doug thorleys. dougs headers. they kick ***. 400 shipped they have a new type of silver coating guarenteed not to change color or rust. they also come with a lifetime warranty. The exhaust flange thathooks up to the motor is really thick. 5/8 inch!

Are those mid/long tube headers?
edit: do you have a link to those headers? I can't seem to find them.

Thanks to all of you for your input.

310-Y is the P/N from summit. I bet you will get atleast 80-90% of the RWHP at 50% or so of the price.

How are the doug thorleys compared to the ASMs, i know the asms are longtube and i assume the thorleys are. Also, would these fit the SS, im not sure if it would make a difference as far as fitment issues. Also, Im hearing some great numbers from the TOGs, i thought these were midlength, are these making as much as the fulllength asms?

The TOG's are in between a mid and long tube. And the TOG's are producing more rwhp than the ASM's. Jon B. was telling me that the average gains they were seeing on the SS's is between 25 to 30 whp. If you want more info call Jon at TOG. He is very very helpful and will answer any questions you have. 1-951-351-9466. They design these headers just for the 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, 7.4 and the 8.1.

I'm extremely pleased with my Doug Thorley headers on my 6.0L. They lined up right, and had zero fitment issues. For the price, I still say they are tough to beat.

Thorleys make 45 RWHP, they told me so. And I'm sure ASM will tell you theirs makes more. Lets see some dyno numbers, sales folks are not reliable dynos.

Do you have proof to back up your statement?

I was under the impression that the asms and dynatechs were making at least that too. I am torn between TOG and asm right now, of course, i hadnt even thought about thorleys before today.
