It is done. I am freaking loving my new carport....nice cool shade to work in

The Corsa is so tame at idle, yet it really roars when revving it up. Not to mention, catalytic converters are definitely the way to go on a daily driver, in my opinion having done the uncatted thing several times over.

Didn't get the first startup on video, but it gave me a hell of a worry that's for sure. Started right up but then died about a second later with a huge plume of smoke out the tailpipe. Thoughts were racing through my head at that moment if I left anything in the intake tube that could have gotten sucked into the motor. But alas, the smoke was just residual debris in cats burning out and the motor died due to the massive amount of increased airflow from these big 1 7/8 pipes over the 4.8 exhaust She started right up after that, computer adjusted a tad. Gotta say, this ARH and Corsa combo is nice, pricey for sure, but no leaks whatsoever, everything seals perfectly on the initial install. Not need to go futzing around later on searching for leaks.

Now I really need to focus on restoring the exterior of my truck, it's in absolutely miserable condition and shows ever bit of its 174xxx miles

Unfortunately, on the video I didn't really rev it up high, it's hard to tell when opening the TB manually. Plus, I didn't want to disturb the neighbors too badly

Why would it die because of the air difference?? I thought you tuned it with headers before and had been running the same tune

The computer makes fueling adjustments over time within the defined limits of the fuel trims, as well as start-up parameters, etc. Remember I've been running the stock exhaust for a long time now It probably went way lean and killed it.

I'm not going to get into a tuning debate with you in your thread but I'm well aware of how fuel trims and startup VE etc works..... Still wouldn't cause that and regardless of any learning the PCM would have done, if you tuned the VE table originally for that much airflow, the values will still be there.

Plus, you're in open loop on startup.

Same coulld be said about a stock truck with headers being just installed but I know mine didn't die..

Hey also went and looked at a log of the tahoe and 100% stock it pulled 95+kpa at any WOT rpm.. How is/was your truck not making more??? What is it now with the headers on??

Being at altitude here, atmospheric pressure is less.

Ive logged AndyC3s truck, with tbss intake and very efficient intake tube, and it pulls about 89 kpa at wot.
