I talked to allen today and told him about my performance. he told me that we can got alot more power out of it. I only had my rev's set at 5,600 rpms and I forgot to tell him about the 160 thermostat. He told me that he was going make the timing more aggressive and also said he was going to try something new on my truck and said it should wake it up.I will be geting everthing in sometime next week so when I do I will report the results. I hope it turns out good but I am comfident in his work plus he is a really nice guy so maybe it will turn out good.

did'nt know how your truck was set up so my comments were worthless, sorry, if you believe what kenne bell says on their site, when you get it tuned right you should make considerably more power than if you had the electronics. from what i've read about nelson, your in good hands. if you get it straightened out, let us know, i may have to suck it up and let him do a tune for me. unless someone has a good tune for an '02 6.0 with an s.c. got one for an 03 but the tables don't match exactly and i could'nt get it too run right.

I am trying to tune a Burb with a 6.0 and a whipple. No Whipple computer. The truck made 408 RWHP but off the line it is a little sluggish until around 25mph then it really kicks in.I have tried everything I know of and still no luck,Any ideas ???

i've played with mine some, is it sluggish compared to a na burb, or just compared to the rush when the boost hits ? what are the particulars ? inj size, other mods, intake, do you have a boost gauge ? is the boost coming on smoothly maybe your bypass is sticking at low pressure. can you log it ? is it under gradual accel or full throttle ? tell me more i'll tell you what i've leaned/figured out. if you can get a efi log and an edit file i'll look at it, might be able to help some.

The injectors were swapped out for 42 lb,Has headders,Mild cam ,stock intake. If you take off gradually it is not as bad but from a dead stop when you floor it thats were it is the worst.I went into the MAP to enable and reduced the values to 5 from 50 and this made a big difference, before that when you would floor it you could actually out run the burb on your bycycle..The LTFT are between -1 to -.78 and at WOT they are at 0.The air/fuel is at 11:8:1.Dont know if the bypass valve is sticking or not.I have gone into the timing tables, set the torque management all to 0's and nothing makes any difference. The only big difference came from the MAP table.Thank for any advice you can give me..............

Mine was the same way, I logged timing and was getting a timing drop to around 5 degrees at launch. This was with all the TM tables in edit zeroed. I think theres still TM that edit can't remove. The only thing that fixed it was setting the spark retard limit to 15 in edit. Now the timing only drops to 14.5 at launch. I went from feeling dead at launch, to all 4 wheels fighting for traction just by changing this table.
Be careful though, and don't set it too high, KR will only take timing out to where you have spark retard limit set to.

i'm in the middle of writting a tune for my whipple so i can run without their electronics. does anyone know if retard due to delta burst knock shows up as kr ? it does'nt seem to. setting the spark retard limit lower seems to work, but i'm trying to isolate it further so i'm not without that protection. i'm going to load what i have this weekend and bypass all the whipple stuff. i've changed the map and coolant tables and several others ,theres one more i've been looking at and trying to decipher from an 03 table thats totally diferent . i'll let you know if it helps.
