Default Valvespring opinions please

Ok guys, I finally got the nerve up to start looking at another cam setup for my truck. I was gonna do the z06 cam even had one lined up but it fell through. I think this cam will give me way better power than the z06 without totally blowing my cover. Last cam i installed was in for a total of 3 days because my old man found out (lopity lope lope) and made me take it out. So after much looking i found a big meaty cam that is hardly noticable and according to the guy at MTI "sounds like an exhaust burble if anything." It is a 224/220 .581/.581 on a 116lsa. (MTI stealth 2) It is the best of both worlds for me so Im gonna do it.

Q: Will 918s work on that high of a lift or will i have to get 921s

Q: who has the best prices when it comes to springs and pushrods and maybe retainers. (Throw some prices at me from places that you know.)

Gimme some oppinions of this cam. Has anyone on here run it in their truck or something similar and how are its manners in your oppinion? Comments would be cool as well. Thanks.
Beau

918's should be fine...they are good up to .600 lift. As far as the cheapest place to get the parts, I don't know, but I would look at e-bay or Summit. The cam sounds like it will perform well. My buddy The Wood Hauler is going with the Patriot 226/226 .585/.585 on 112LSA within the next month or two. Your's should definetly be more tame at idle than the Patriot, but close to the same lift/duration. Good Luck!

I know but the way i look at it, i will need to keep as quiet as possible and still get good performance out of it. It is still better than the 117.5lsa that the z06 cam has

Well my ebay thing didnt go as planned so what i think im gonna do is just go buy it from MTI for full price. I wanna see what itll do to a 5.3 b/c i have never heard of it in a truck and because it is another alternativ to the Z06 cam. I bet with a stall and gears itll get me pretty close to low 13s in good weather. I saw a kit from MTI that was their valvetrain package which consisted of Manley springs, titanium retainers, and pushrods all for $375. I am trying to decide between this and comp 918s and pushrods just using stock retainers. I think the highest i will crank it will be 6400rmp maybe a little less. what do yall think? Thanks.

Another question about the cam while i still somewhat have yalls attention. (224/220) I realize that this cam is a reverse split cam and I was wondering if you know how a reverse cam acts as compaired to a regular split cam? Anything different?
