Default V6 to V8 Problems!!!

I have searched, but did not find the answer I was looking for... I have a 2000 GMC V6 that I am swaping to a V8. I can't seem to figure out what motor mounts I need. The driver side is shorter than the passenger side, and I tried both the V6 mounts and the V8. Can someone give me some advice on this???

You need motor mounts, AND the bracket that mounts to the frame. I had the same issue.

It is the piece that bolts the engine mount (v8) to the frame.

Where do I get it? I have the mounts that came on the motor, but they supposedly came out of an 04 Tahoe. The truck was a V6, so can I go to the parts store and buy V8 motor mounts for that year truck??

Ok, I found what I was looking for. I needed the V8 brackets for that year model (99-02) I had the 03-06 V8 bracket. Thanks for the help.

the 2wd & 4wd versions are different, too, so make sure you get the right ones. check the yards first... i found a set of 2wd ones, but had to end up ordering my 4wd set from the dealer for $125
