Default v6 to v8 NBS conversion

Who here has done one? I'm shopping for a 99-06 rcsb. I want to stay as cheap as possible in the beginning. I've found plenty 4.8's for ~10k, but the 4.3 v6's are going for 3k less. 3k and I could build a pretty damn good 5.7 to drop in which is what I would do with the v8 truck anyway. And yes, I have used the search button and only come up with pre 99 trucks on this swap.

he went from a 4.3 to a LS1 if I'm not mistaken but the swap steps should be identical for any other truck motor...
