hey yall im looking into building another 4.3L block between now college- First off if anyone has a spare 4.3L block just block w/ rods/pistons/rings/freeze plugs, crank i am interested-
The block will have a stock crank- ARP rod bolts- Eagle H-beams- Federal Mogul forged aluminum pistons and 9:1 compression- Heads will be 2.02/1.6 valves w/ 1.5 roller rockers, and 266 cam- Custom MPFI off an edelbrock 2114 intake manifold w/ 48lbs injectors- and a single T70 sitting STS style intercooled making at least 20psi- Can you say 550whp + Ford 8.8" rearend w/ built 4l60e- 3400stall????- Easy 11's???
I am doing this because this is far in the future and i am seeing if any of you have any different suggestions - also what do you suggest for AR on the turbo? - should i use a different one- I would like moderate lag that way they think they got away and then BOOM the boost hits and im gone- Also as far as the cam goes should i go w/ a bigger cam- i would like it to have some street manners and get at least 10 to 12mpg-
Any suggestions- input- other options (I know of course a v8 but i like the idea of a v6 turbo)- a s/c maybe?-

the absolute cheapest and easiest way to have a fast V6 is to stuff it full of nitrous, those motors even with stock internals are very strong. a 3000+ stall and a 200 shot would probably put it into the low 13s.

lol- are you kidding that would yeild low or flat 12's- 1.6 roller rockers, 3200 stall, 100 shot, exhaust/intake, little head work and DR's and you can run 13.00 in a blazer- 200 shot = death to stock fuel system- 150 is about maxing out the stock fuel system- i think the most i will go is 125 on this block-

Hmmm... My 4.3L V6 (48K miles) is sitting under a tightly wrapped tarp waiting for a buyer (complete from intake to oil pan, and I'll throw some accessories)... Even have a TH350 trans.
