Default V6 Headers - Dawns Flamesuit

Ok, I am just kinda of trolling around looking at options and ideas. I have an 03 Silverado with a 4.3 V6,

I know the best way to go for more performance is a v8, but I am only looking for a little more grunt from the truck So does anyone know of Options for a set of 4.3 Headers?

Get an intake as the 4.3 is pretty weak compared to the new LS style, and have a performance muffler welded inplace of your stock one.

Both those things are cheaper then headers, and offer a bit more performance for the deal. After thses 2 things I would add headers, and a tune.

Also 1.5 "ROLLER" rockers add a few HP with no loss of MPG, and 1.6's can add close to 20 if your springs can support the extra lift. Then theres underdrive pulleys, but remember gears make it all work.

I have a 4.8 with 3.23 gears and its a dog off the line. A old neighbor of mine had the Chevy version of my truck with 4.11's, and he would leave me behind 6 lengths easy. The he got the same mpg as me highway so I would look into gears if you have none.

Gearing makes a HUGE difference. Going from a 30 to 31.5" tire with 3.42 gears really screwed me. Effectively, it's like I went from 3.42s to 3.23s. You wouldn't think there would be much of a difference but there is! I'm going to 4.10s myself veryyyy soon

I had a 4.3 Blazer with an exhuast, Hypertech tune, TB spacer, MSD, 3.73s and a posi and it would run 15.9s with ALOT of stereo in the back. Another awesome thing is those motors LOVE nitrous, I sprayed that truck with a 50 shot on the same night it went 15.9 and it went a 15.0 spraying in the top of first through the gears I didn't even spray it out of the hole. They are good motors, that same truck has leaved a very VERY hard life and it has 150k miles and has never had any issues. I would however before I spent a much of money on making the 4.3 fast I would look into a 6.0 and get a used cam, Trailblazer TC, headers, ECU, and gears. I think by the time you took your 16.8 truck and made it a 15.9 truck that amount of money or close to it could have taken it from a 16.8 to a mid 13
