Default UPD CARB Approved?

I don't know if this has been asked before but is the UPD CARB approved? If not, will I still be able to pass state inspection with it on my truck?

Should be able to. I have a K&N cone setup on my truck and e-fans that aren't CARB...you should see under the hood of my F150, nothing under there is CARB and it passes without greasing the inspector. If you're worried, just find a dumpy inspection place...even so most you could probably convince that the UPD is OE...

How does CARB apply to Texas? I thought CARB was a Cali only thing? It sure sucks to live here in Kalifornia.

E-fans, are not a CARB item here in Cali as they do not affect emissions in anyway as they are not tied to the volumetric efficiency of the engine.

CARB = California Air Resources Board

Some other states use our guidelines though since they are the most stringent in the country, if you can get your part carb approved, then it will be accepted by any state.

I think they said TX is 4th strictest regarding inspection crap, but an intake should not cause you to fail
