Default UPD?

Is UPD the best intake, performance wise, for our trucks?

I've got a smoked UPD and I like it so far. I have no way to compare it to stock because when I replaced the stock setup I found that the previous owner was running no air filter at all.

My car has numbed my SOTP meter to the point where it can no longer detect gains under 100 hp so I really can't help with the performance aspect of it.

I noticed no loss of power by putting the UPD/K&N on in place of the air filterless stock setup though.

I can say that it looks alot better than that crazy mess GM threw in there.

It seems to be doing well for me. Currently running a 16.4 @85 with no other mods on 2002 2500 HD.
