Default Unlimited LS1 Edit

I know someone with unlimited LS1 Edit, if I was to get a copy of a tune file would that person be able to upload it to my ECU using their laptop if I had the file on a disk?

If that person had the unlimited version for the 99 trucks, yes he could tune you. Unfortunately, most unlimited versions cover only cars. Getting the unlimited ver for trucks is pretty cost prohibitive.

Well they said they got unlimited LS1 edit for al 99-02 vehicles, they run a shop so I don't see why they wouldn't get the unlimited for everything. But anyway, I'll ask just to make sure.

To add the trucks to the unlimited version, price goes up several thousand dollars. Most shops won't drop the extra money for the ability to tune trucks. Just not enough demand.

If you are getting a tuned file from someone elses truck you have to make very sure that the segment #1 ID number matches the segment #1 ID number of the program in your PCM now, otherwise you can turn your PCM into a paperweight!

I have LS1 Edit unlimited and find it very useful. We are involved in about as many truck engine swaps as cars anymore. I look for that to increase more in the future with the availabilty of the trucks versus the discontinued F-bodies.

That would be nice if someone around here would get that... but I really don't see it being a big money maker for him

I think Farmtruk has it for trucks but he is in San Antonio. I will probably use him when I get my 6.0 swap one of these years.
