Default ud pulleys for 5.3

I plan on doing ud pulleys while in there for heads and cam, are there any brands that are more reliable than others?
who makes the best
Im a little worried about them getting fouled if I ever get time to go off roading

I think ASP is the only company that make them for our trucks. You can get them from many of the sponsors on the right, our do like I did and buy them used from somone here. Make sure you get one specifcally for trucks though because they are different from the car pulley.

not saying that ud pulleys won't tear up belts but from what i have read on most of the situations, they didn't have the pulley all the way in. most have about a 1/4 inch to go.

Had no problem with my ASP underdrive pulley set. It came without belts, but the instructions gave the numbers of the correct belts which the local Pep Boys had in stock.

I was also going to do the UDP on my 5.3 but my friend did it and said it was a waste of time. Some say its a good mod and some dont. I'll have to tr them on mine to find out for myself.

I'm only doing it because I have to take the stock one off to do the cam and I found one for sale used.
